They’re banning books and taking over schools. Their villainizing and attacking gender, racial, and religious minorities. They’re infiltrating police departments and the FBI. They’re seizing control of the levers of power. We’ve seen this movie before, and it’s ugly…

@ProfHagle Oprah wouldn't put something edible on the floor for someone to pick up and eat, because she has empathy. Seems to be missing in the Trumps I've seen.
Gov DeSantis these are American citizens who were sent to internment camps by the U.S. government during WW 2 because they looked like our enemy, but they did not lock up German Americans. Was that institutional racism? Is it "indoctrination" if I tell this to my students?
And that's how a politician Should think! But these days it's just the Democrats - with a couple (two) exceptions. Would be great if Republicans felt this way, too.
I’m fighting to lower costs for families, make health care more affordable, lead the planet to safety with more aggressive climate policies, put people above corporations, and get big anonymous money out of our political system.
@sweetsweetbobby @jontester@HC_Richardson If republicans are elected, they'll make sure those programs are dissolved, which won't save the younger gens any $ because without unions, the employers will freeze wages (worse than they did from the Reagan years on).
Another difference between Democrats and the wannabe authoritarians is that Democrats want to make sure Social Security and Medicare last. (Also the Dept of Education, EPA, FDA, oversight & safety regulations on <railroad> companies..)
Even entertaining the idea of gutting Social Security and Medicare is a slap in the face to every senior who has worked their entire life to earn these benefits.
I'm proud to have voted to cap insulin costs at $35/month for seniors on Medicare. I will continue to fight to ensure Montanans have access to affordable insulin.
One of the differences between the Democratic & republican congressmembers is that Democrats have empathy and republicans vote with their wallets (open). Both parties should want a reasonable fair price for drugs. Both should also want 2 parties. Republicans want 1. authoritarian

If fossil-fuel-funded Republicans had it their way, we wouldn’t do a thing about climate change. What they won’t admit is that inaction is the costliest route – both for families’ budgets and for federal disaster spending.
