@g_eckholm@thehill That's certainly what the White House said, but the company also opened with a public announcement directly from the president and the White House released a press statement giving President Trump credit for the low cost gas stations. It's a bizarre situation.
Yes, the "green" movement supports it for reasons you may disagree with.... But there are real coast savings and efficiency benefits to this transition. This transition could save us billions over the life of the vehicles.
@WebsterCongress You are my elected representative. I'm incredibly concerned about the idea of canceling the electrification of the USPS fleet. This cancellation would be putting politics over government efficiency, and would cost us billions in the long term.
@RepJamesComer Electric Vehicles are more energy efficient than gasoline/diesel vehicles. That is not some "woke" belief or theory. It is simply a mathematical fact. If you're looking at government efficiency without considering the adoption of EVs, you're not taking it seriously

@RepAaronBean Im concerned about the idea of canceling the USPS fleet electrification. There are legitimate efficiency and long-term cost savings in electrification. The free mrkt has already lead the way here with Amazon seeing significant operational savings from its EV fleet
Canceling the electrification of the USPS fleet could cost us billions in operational costs over the life of these vehicles. If DOGE is truly about efficiency, EVs need to be a part of that equation. Please dont throw out efficiency and long-term cost savings over short-trm cost

The free market already lead the way here. Amazon is seeing significant operational cost savings from the electrification of it's fleet. Please reconsider your position. Don't throw out the efficiency and cost savings baby with the wastewater.
@RepJamesComer The talk of canceling the electrification of the USPS fleet is alarming. There are legitimate operational cost and efficiency benefits to electrification. Canceling this transition is short sighted and will cost us BILLIONS in lost savings.
@elonmusk There is talk of canceling the USPS's transition to an electric fleet. You know that there are legitimate efficiency and long-term cost savings in electrification. A knee-jerk opposition to EVs or short term thinking could cost the USPS billions in savings. #DOGE
