@IndiaTodayNE@haokip2_ms Kuki-Zo people’s relief didn’t last an hour. Another victim of NSCN-IM led ZUF-K militants: Pu Haogin Lhouvum from Lasan Kuki village, IT Road, resurfaces.
#KukiZoLifeMatter
Under a leaking tarpaulin, in the middle of rain and mud, the coffins of two church leaders from Kultuh Village lie in silence.
Rev. Letminlun Haokip and Lunminthang Haokip were not armed volunteers . They were servants of God and their community. Yet their lives were cut short, burned alive, leaving their families grieving and their village shattered. The rain signifies the tears of all the death Kukis in the past few weeks, Helpless, Cold and longing for justice.
Kuki civilian deaths in NSCN I'M attacks documented since March 2026: 13 lives lost.
11 March, Litan: 2 killed
24 April, Mulam-Songphel: 2 killed
13 May, Kotzim-Kotlen Route : 3 killed
5 June, Loibol Khullen : 3 killed (including a 7-month pregnant woman)
9 June, Lasan : 1 killed
11 June, Kultuh Village : 2 killed
Thirteen lives. Thirteen families shattered. No amount of rain can wash away this grief, and no amount of silence can erase these names.
May their souls rest in peace. Justice must prevail.

A Kuki-Zo farmer was shot dead by Tangkhul #NSCNIM while plowing his field. This violence threatens innocent lives and endangers the safety of the entire community. #Securityforces must take immediate action against these NSCNIM attacks.#StopNSCNIM#Peace#Securityforces#Manipur
Kultuh village is burning right now. This morning NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson, Arambai Tenggol, Myanmar Meitei Militants, NSCN Eastern Flank, Shanni Militants and Junta military crossed the border and set our ancestral village on fire. They are operating from bunkers in Tangkhul-dominated areas with protection from Tangkhul CSOs and some Tangkhul pastors.
We lost two Kuki civilians today while they attacked. Two innocent people killed defending their homes. This is not random violence. This is a planned invasion of Kuki land using foreign fighters and Indian insurgents together.
How are Junta troops and Shanni Militants from Myanmar walking into India? Why are foreign militants openly stationed in bunkers along the border? Where is the border security? Where is the Army? The same forces that claim to guard India are letting foreign armies burn Indian villages.
This is a direct threat to every Kuki-Zo family. They are fully armed, fully prepared, and they will not stop at Kultuh.
Look at Kultuh today. Foreign militants are inside India killing civilians while the world stays quiet. If you still believe borders matter and ethnic cleansing is wrong, then act now. Stop the Junta, Shanni, and Meitei militants from Myanmar. Hold the groups protecting them accountable. Two Kuki dead today. How many tomorrow before you say something?

This morning Kultuh Kuki ancestral village was attacked and houses were burnt down. Combined forces of NSCN-IM, NSCN Eastern Flank, Myanmar Meitei Militants, Shanni National Army and Junta military carried out the assault under the protection of Tangkhul CSOs, Tangkhul pastors, and the United Naga Council.
Today we lost two innocent Kuki civilians. One was a head deacon in the church. The other was the youth chairman of the village. Both were killed by NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM, Myanmar Meitei Militants, Shanni National Army and Junta military while defending our ancestral land.
We send our deepest condolences to the families of our martyred brothers. Their blood was spilled on the soil of their forefathers for simply being Kuki.
We demand immediate arrest of every person involved in the murder of our civilians and the burning of Kultuh. Book the attackers, their handlers, and those who gave them shelter and cover.
Failure to take action will prove that the state has abandoned us. The peace-loving Kuki community has shown restraint again and again while our villages burn and our people are killed. We will not be mute spectators anymore if attacks on Kuki ancestral villages continue.
Kultuh is burning. Two innocent Kuki dead. Foreign militants and insurgents are inside India killing civilians. Act now or own the consequences of your silence.

Statement based on your text:
The Kuki Community strongly condemns the actions of certain Tangkhul and Liangmai groups regarding the continued detention of innocent Kuki civilians. Despite expectations for their release, reports indicate that pressure from NSCN-IM, ZUF (Kamson Group), and Arambai Tenggol-linked elements has prevented their release, leaving their family members waiting in uncertainty and distress.
The Kuki Community urges all concerned authorities to immediately search for and secure the safe release of the innocent Kuki civilians. These individuals are not involved in violence and were working for the welfare of their people. Their continued detention is unacceptable and has caused deep concern among the Kuki public.
The recent UNC declaration has come as a shock to the Kuki Community. At the same time, reports of renewed blockades by sections of Liangmai, Rongmei, and Tangkhul groups have further increased tension and fear among affected civilians. We appeal to the competent authorities to act impartially, uphold justice, and ensure the safety and freedom of all innocent civilians.

TANGKHUL-MEITEI BONHOMIE?
If the Tangkhul community truly accepts that they are one family with the Meitei community, then their ST status, all relaxations, all their reservation quotas, and facilities must be immediately revoked. The concerned Ministry should take note and initiate necessary action. You can’t have double standards and cherry-pick the Constitution of India.
Why does the Meitei community celebrate the so-called Great June Uprising Day every year to remember the innocents who were killed in protests against the NSCN-IM Ceasefire Agreement for Greater Nagalim with the Government of India?
If the Meitei community and the Tangkhul community are such close-knit families, why did the NSCN-IM kidnap Dr. Th. Kishan, SDO of Kasom Khullen, and his staff Yumnam Token and Aribam Rajen, all of whom belonged to the Meitei community, who were brutally tortured and murdered? Their bodies were recovered near Taphou Bridge on February 17, 2009.
People should remember that when that kidnapping and brutal killing happened, Nongthombam Biren Singh @NBirenSingh, who has now become the torchbearer, was the Cabinet Minister for Flood and Irrigation, Flood Control, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. That’s what a typical Meitei “Minai chameleon” is all about.
To be precise, due to the unabated greed, power hunger, womanizing mentality, and short-sighted view of Nongthombam Biren Singh @NBirenSingh, the 60 years of the Meitei secessionist movement have remained confined to only 650 sq km known as Manipur (Imphal Valley). Any sane Meitei can understand this logic. Please don’t blame the Kuki-Zo community for the chaotic state of society. It was Nongthombam Biren Singh @NBirenSingh.
Since he completely failed to defeat what he had created, he instigated another drug-business expansionist secessionist group, the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM, to join his fight.
Tangkhuls will always be Tangfools. Yahan paisa milega, wahan apna baap bana lo. My best wishes are with them. However, this will be the final nail in the coffin for both of them.

#WATCH | Churachandpur, Manipur | Young Pillars College Principal and MD, Samuel Haokip, says, "Among the 14 that were abducted, there's a boy named Hengunsei Khongsai, a student of Young Pillars College. He had just completed his class 11 final exams. Now, Hengunsei is still a minor. He's only 16 years of age. He also has a disability and he's essentially an orphan. His mother left him when he was a child and his father passed away this January. Now, his friends have started their class 12 a week ago. He could not come. He's still in Taphou village. He was in Taphou village to earn his fare money, just to come from his village to Lamka... I earnestly appeal to the government at the state and the centre, to all the security agencies and to all right-thinking community leaders across the region. Please put an end to this madness... Let us release all the hostages on all sides, including our boy, Hengunsei Khongsai... On the 14th of May, as I've been given to understand by his family members, Hengunsei Khongsai, along with his friends and village members were earning money as a daily wage labourer. On their way home to their village, they were stopped, in front of Mount Everest College, Senapati, where they were stopped by Senapati District Student Association (SDSA) members. There were also police members present there, security personnel. Instead of protecting Hengunsei Khongsai and his friends and his villagers, the security people have handed over these civilians into the hands of the SDSA... All involved parties, including the SDSA student leaders as well as the police personnel involved in that incident must be investigated and they must be held accountable for whatever happens to Hengunsei Khongsai and the abducted 14 members."
Manipur :The agony of not knowing if they are safe, if they are healthy, or if they are even ALIVE. No family should endure this nightmare. We cannot let this become a forgotten headline. We demand their immediate release‼️#BringThemHome@adgpi@crpfindia@HMOIndia@PMOIndia
