I do challenge the advice about stockpiling Sauvignon blanc.
Surely better to stockpile a red - because if the power goes down, the white would be room temperature, which would be simply ghastly.

@K_Niemietz Champagne is a PDO which is in effect a trademark so cannot be used outside the region and made to the PDO rules, Prosecco is also a PDO and they are notoriously letigious, so prosecco soap, prosecco candles etc are illegal and they instruct the FSA to tell shops to remove them!
