@realEstateTrent@GFOSoul Didn’t raise my kids in DC but in Alexandria Va. when they were little everyone said they would move out to Fairfax before they had to go to TC Williams (Reemember the titans). Turns out everyone just stayed in Alexandria and TC got better.
@anothercohen It sucks but when you fire someone you have to be very careful about what you say because it can all be used in court. They were just following counsel in not answering her questions. Firing people is not fun or nice. Hope she lands on her feet
@janecoaston Every time I take a 30 minute break bee from the airport to a ski resort I wonder why more people don’t live in SLC. But I don’t live there so….
@realestatedude0 Last 2 times I sold I had the listing agent keep 2% and pay the buying agent 3%. Didn’t want to disincentivize buying agents from showing my house
@realEstateTrent Take my college kids out west skiing every year. One of the few things we can do together as a family. It only works now because I made them go to ski and snowboard school. Now they shred. F that guy. Investment
@realEstateTrent I bought a $350 cuisinart at the beginning of Covid. Still going strong. Great investment. Drip coffee is trash. Friend has a $250 version. The extra $100 seems to be worth it. I don’t see any reason to get anything better than what the have tho
@thdxr Hated all that stuff before I moved into management. I still think peer reviews are terrible. PM stuff is necessary but it’s only a tool. HR stuff can be misleading and harmful. Work gets done by teams and smart people
@jodyavirgan Not me. 1970. Definitely Gen x. Innovations of my youth were VCRs, call waiting, answering machines, and ATMs. Small compared to Internet and cell phones in my mid to late 20s. I grew up at the end of the Cold War though so that was cool.
@CartoonsHateHer Obsessed with the fall of the Roman Empire. The fall of the Roman Republic is worth understanding. The empire was a cruel autocracy even under the “good emperors”.
