I want to show you something. I think this is really cool...

So I'm prototyping a way to easily write real-time apps in a way that feels natural within SwiftUI.
And I have landed on basically providing the same API as Observable Object 🤯

Traveling through 🇹🇭 and found a confusing ☕️ ad.

So someone is pouring already brewed coffee onto a V60, which is on top of a paper cup with the lid still on. The cup is being marketed as both espresso AND dripped coffee. With a packet of instant on the side.

What is this?

Interesting. For some reason I can’t place an app limit on Instagram 🤔

Any idea why? My leading theory is that it’s a problem with the app name containing a Greek letter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All other beta apps I have can be limited just fine

So is the app doing 1000s of individual RPCs?
Or is it making making few calls to some sort of API Gateway that is spinning off 1000s of calls to microservices?

@Goli_beta_mast @NanouuSymeon Other options of course include the few days where recruiters are on campus, and my favorite is tech meetups. The meetup route opened a lot of doors for me.

I appreciate that this is not accessible for everyone. I was very lucky

@Goli_beta_mast @NanouuSymeon Honestly it’s more of a networking kind of thing. Chasing fun mainly. I studied in Germany where this practice is common. They call them Werkstudenten or Working Student. Usually a fellow student who also works there might refer you

After 2 internships, and my first year as a FTE at Meta, I think I’m slowly getting the hang of it.

Here’s a little secret, I don’t know the code I work on. And it keeps on changing. And growing.

The next step then is to go back to thinking about the product.
What have you seen that can be improved? What are other opportunities to make the product better, or cheaper, or easier to maintain?
