With YA books large age gaps seem so common place that I think some people forget that they can be viewed as problematic and potentially predatory. I haven't read the MoV duology so I don't know exactly what the age gap is but it does seem to be an issue thoughout YA fantasy.

Honestly all you people saying this is because body shop are mocking an aduse survivor are missing the point. Besides, I'm an abuse survivor and yet I wouldn't give a shit if a trans woman was in a public restroom with me. She is a woman, she belongs there!
