Cancer surgeon here. People like to point out that childfree women have a slightly increased risk for breast cancer without mentioning they have ZERO risk for:
- Perineal tears + fecal incontinence
- Preeclampsia
- Amniotic fluid embolism
- Bladder, uterine, or rectal prolapse
- Diastasis recti
- Peripartum cardiomyopathy
- Postpartum depression
- Chronic pain from pelvic nerve damage
Stop shaming childfree women and start appreciating that families come in many flavors.
Your daughter just got her first period.
Do not tell her she is a woman now.
Tell her what estrogen does.
Tell her what progesterone does.
Tell her her cycle has four phases and each one will feel different.
Give her information. Not a new identity.
Personally my parents we're not from the same tribe so nyumba Ilikua kiswahili na kizungu, my bros and I hear both sides and can construct weak sentences, sometimes mna judge bila kujua the full story
I seriously judge Kenyan parent especially millennials and Gen Z who deliberately refuse to teach their kids their mother tongue and Swahili, sticking only to English. It’s insane to me like what exactly do they think they’re achieving?
The act itself does not move me, but In a world of 8 billion finding the other person who is the same sort of insane to do with with you is terribly romantic
I don't mind people who post many things on WhatsApp shida yangu hua wale wa kuandikia messages wapenzi wao on status or attacking people their beefing with
Genuinely never heard of anyone not posting on WhatsApp because they are trying to aura farm. Just post in peace, man. You are an adult. You don't need consensus.
Again, the mandate goes both ways. If KRA says you have till June 30th to file taxes then their system should be working properly until June 30th at 11:59 PM.
Or are we used to accepting mediocrity in this country all the time?
“Communication is key” but no one talks about how scary real communication is. It is not cute texts and long calls. It’s “here’s where you hurt me, here’s what I need, here’s what I’m afraid to say”. It’s swallowing pride, risking rejection, choosing honesty over comfort.
@MadelaineLucyH Here's the point you're going to hate:
Your mother is at least partially responsible for the continuance of both this social standard and the misconception its the majority of men.
