@MarketWatcher42 @FangSystems reverse flow combustors are really good at keeping most of the surfaces cool enough to not need exotic materials. They can also provide some of the benefits of a recuperator, by pre-heating the combustion air. They also provide cooling at the front of the turbine.

@FangSystems So what makes this better suited to a long range drone than any of the other designs on the market? I don't see you're going to have a higher pressure ratio than the metal compressor designs.

Without a higher compression ratio, you're better off with pistons.
