GOAL Zimbabwe is supporting @MoHCCZim in the implementation of Care Groups in Makoni & Mangwe Districts, with funding from @UNICEFZIMBABWE . Care Group Volunteers are undergoing capacitation on recommended nutrition, health, hygiene #IYCF practices and #protection.
With support from @WFP_Zimbabwe, @GOALZimbabwe and the Marondera Municipality have upgraded the Dombotombo borehole to a solar powered scheme. The scheme will provide water to a wider coverage of 371 households and benefit surrounding fruit, vegetable and clothing markets.
In Zimbabwe,

Farmers in Chipinge district have improved their livestock breeds through an @Irish_Aid supported resilience building program.The 22Tuli bulls,distributed in Dec 2019 through a partnership with @CooperZimbabwe now have 193 calves with better genetics and increased market value.

Findings from the 2021 Rural Livelihoods Assessment indicate that:
•At least 8.3% of rural households purchased expired or food undergoing spoilage due to its reduced price.
•Rural households are using a variety of strategies to keep their food safe.
