Me carrying the fall issue of @RethinkSchools with me for the foreseeable future—
Me, to anyone in my vicinity: “OMG, have you seen this?! Pages 1-37 and 39-58 are stellar, but for some reason I’m drawn to page 38?!”

every day is the process of seeing something that really unravels my brain & then taking time to get my brain back to a useful place, and I gotta say, took a bit longer to do the latter today, when one of the latest sentences is “we used the wrong bombs on that refugee camp”
Brought this Black nutcracker to continue my tradition of bringing a Black ornament for the family tree (last year was Santa 💅🏾). Auntie started calling him Soulja Boy and yes of course we cranked dat in recognition 🤣
I don’t advocate for an end to oppression bc of some far-off possibility tht my kids will ask me one day “what did you do?” I do it for my own soul that shakes me awake every day demanding a response to my own beating heart’s query: what, in the end, is the purpose of this heart?
📣 We are excited to announce that our friends at the @answercoalition have joined the March on Washington for Gaza as a national partner.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Jan 13th! More details to come for buses from your cities...
I learned this in a few minutes, but rumor has it there’s going to be a request for the Tamia line dance so just know I’m spending my waking hours today getting ready to nail that one tomorrow lolol
The ✨best✨ things about this:
1. Speaking about their child pre-revelation in gender neutral language.
2. Not pressuring their child to ‘come out’, yet preparing for in case they do.
3. Accepting new info AND then not misgendering their child.
4. Presence. Presence. Presence.
Thank you to everyone who supported @RethinkSchools this year. I'm honored to do this work and look forward to all that's to come in 2024 ✊🏽
