@JamesRWilkes5 Right there is what I found great about this course. It inspired me to connect more with the field of neurology, which was something I hadn't expected while taking biochemistry!
@Sabrina_unhm The lecture videos were very useful along with some of the songs. It appeared to be a lot of material, but understanding that this was an approach to different types of teaching, I enjoyed the tools she used!
@Olivia15Rose The science community was something I thought one of the most interesting parts of this course. It will even help me stay up to date on scientific discoveries and news during the summer!
@lejlaHUNHM Me too! I kept a schedule throughout the semester. I never knew how busy yet responsible I could be until taking this alongside other courses.
@katelyn_biochem Same here! It took a bit of time, but I've been able to keep up with time management. I definitely felt much more organized as a person when it came to scheduling!
Online classes make it hard to keep a structured schedule. I enjoyed the sample schedule that was posted at the beginning of the semester and the structure of this class. In the future I will implement this kind of structure in other classes #prescottbiochemistry
I agree! Some general chemistry topics were brought up and it was nice to have the refresher. It's been nearly a year and longer since I reviewed over some of the material!
For me, #prescottbiochemistry was a senior send off. Each week was a glimpse into semesters past. All the classes came full circle for me and it was encouraging to look back on all the work and assignments completed. All my UNHM lab experiences were amazing.
I liked that twitter was kept in the course for the fact I could even tweet about outside material. I liked hearing about others' input on whatever someone else or I happened to come across.

While taking biochemistry, I was happy to both revisit material and have added context. One example was the recent lesson on beta oxidation and tying it into dieting. It explains how ketosis could occur with elevated ketones in the body. It's actually something I was reviewing in

So I was venturing through the web this morning after seeing an ad on promoting gut health (which was most indefinitely cash-grabbing), but it drove me delve a bit more into the topic. Then I found this podcast and I surprisingly got really tuned in.
