2 months ago, AI was a chatbot that I occasionally used for random questions. Then I came across Ahmad’s posts about how it works and what it can do, and I knew immediately this was something I wanted to dedicate all my time and resource into and finally, my own sovereign AI.
I started out with the goal of having my own AI assistant that is 100% private, that I can access anywhere using text, voice and vision. Currently building out the second brain infrastructure that can continuously improve itself, with actual long-term memory so it doesn’t just end up being another glorified chatbot. Afterwards, tie it into genomics research and VCF automation, and design my private console to drive and monitor the entire infrastructure.
I’ll start sharing my journey in a way that isn’t just technical jargon, my hope is that it’ll inspire more people to get into AI to improve their everyday lives.
4 months ago I had a 2-day-old baby girl and didn’t know what LLM meant
I didnt know how to code
Today I run a fully sovereign multi-GPU AI platform with custom agents, cryptographic execution rail, and wake word I trained myself.
Here’s the honest path(I still don’t how to code)
It’s definitely difficult to let go of Claude Code or something solutions. What I’ve been doing is to let those two exact models handle 90% of tasks, and let Claude review the results if it doesn’t have sensitive client data on it or if I can sanitize it first but it can alresdy produces amazing results by themselves
@Ydf_189 Ah sorry I didn’t see this until now. I started with Claude chat, going prompt by prompt asking for explanation. After few weeks, I moved up to Claude Code which sped things up exponentially, but still made it explain every line of code so I can try to learn as much as possible
@Hikari_07_jp@TomasMann1878 Damn I didn’t know you started only few months before i found your X posts, seemed to me like you’ve been doing it forever from the way you were so passionate about it. Still remember seeing your builds all those months ago and getting hyped up
@neuroad I know it sounds completely hypocritical for me to say anyone can run loca AI while sitting on these hardware, but I really do mean it. All of this took a huge chunk of my net worth to build, and I can tell you from first hand experience that you don’t need 1/10 to run your HQ AI
@NQ2hen@SarahLacard Well… depends on what you want to know! If you are just curious about local AI, you can’t do no better than checking out @TheAhmadOsman the Godfather in this community
Special shoutout to @SarahLacard who taught me a valuable lesson on how to reach out to people. Without her, I’d still have 32 followers and never would’ve had this chance at reaching thousands of people to help them start their own journey.
I planned to make a full build post tonight as promised but sort of overwhelmed by all the support, so I’ll put it up tomorrow morning so I can do it right. Bit hesitant to do it since it goes against my message of ‘anyone can do it’, but just know that you can run local AI at fractional of cost and I’ll make a separate viable minimum build post afterwards.
@alwayscovered_ I can see why most would feel that way, but it really comes down to one thing, which is ‘how much is your privacy worth to you’? If it’s zero, $20 Claude sub will vastly outperform all of this, but for someone, privacy is priceless for my family and my clients
Asked her to write this portion that required personal touch, all the challenges we faced and how it improved our quality of life. As for the build, in a sense she contributed more than anyone would know. Having to breastfeed every few hours, carrying extra burden while I put all this together.
@jkyamog@luceboxai Thank for sharing your story, alwsys honored to hear from past generations who’s gone through their own experience with tech and gone through parenthood.
Your builds are chefs kiss!

@JavitoSamurai Thanks Mr Zero, I’ll make a full build post tomorrow morning. Wanted to do it tonight but sort of overwhelmed, so wanted to take some time to do it right
Trying to follow everyone back but apparently X don’t like it when you follow too many people at once. I truly appreciate everyone who gave me a follow today, especially to whoever reposted this 3 week old post that allowed me to reach more people.
@JohnnOlsenn Let me give this some thought so I can give you a honest feedback on what $2,000 will allow you to run in current field. Will DM you later when I can give you full undivided attention
@techiecnsrvtv All of this represents a huge chunk of my life savings, that I mostly was able to afford due to my precious metal investment that played out well last year. Just gotta be diligent, play the market safely, and you’ll be able to do it for sure
