I HATE what "that side" of the internet has done to gaming discourse man.
Unless it's like Stellar Blade or Lara Croft with Boobs and Ass flopping about it's always "Woke" this "Woke" that.
It's 2026 bro like please wake up 😭
Some will say it’s an exaggeration, and I understand some of the criticisms, but I agree. Whenever I replay it I keep thinking that we will never get a game like it, and as years pass, it stays true. One hell of an experience.
Maturing is realising that Uncharted 4 is not just the best Uncharted game. It's one of the best action adventure games ever made.
It plays like butter, dialogue is sharp, story is amazing, action sequences are a sheer spectacle, aged like a fine wine. happy 10th Uncharted 4
Starting in 2027, smartphones sold in the European Union will be required to have user-replaceable batteries designed for greater durability and more charging cycles.
Manufacturers must also provide spare parts and repair manuals for at least 10 years after a model is released.
This is real pressure against planned obsolescence. It should mean phones that actually last longer, cheaper fixes, and a lot less electronic waste piling up. About time.
I used to be critical of Europe’s excessive regulations, but I’ve grown quite fond of them
I’m glad our food isn’t loaded with 50 toxic or carcinogenic ingredients, that I can charge all my devices with a single cable, that my products last longer, and that they’re designed to be easily repaired
People outside of Europe can talk all the shit they want about the EU, but improving quality of life for the average consumer is a huge W in my book
Compare 2026 to 2016 vs 2016 to 2006 and the gap is pretty huge.
Even if there was no pandemic which greatly slowed everything down, perhaps something has to be said for how technological convenience eroded cultural output. I don’t think they’re unrelated.
2016 doesn’t feel like ten years ago because the pandemic destroyed our sense of time and Trump has never left the news cycle.
Culture has also remained largely stagnant throughout the 2020s. It’s been both a dumpster fire decade and a very artistically bland one too.
A few years ago, being openly pro European federalism online felt like talking into the void.
Today, it’s a visible, growing movement reaching millions. Our ideas are spreading, shaping the debate, and slowly starting to influence the agenda.
We are growing every day. 🇪🇺🇪🇺
@Daractenus It’s the tough times that make the tough people after all. In all their desperation to undermine Europe, this will only make europeans stronger, there it’s a clear change in the mindset of many europeans compared to only a couple of years ago.
The greatest triumph of the incessant hurricane of lies coming from Russia, MAGA, and the likes of Elon Musk has been convincing a significant share of the world, including Europeans, to believe in a “decaying and collapsing” Europe that exists solely in their imagination.🧵
