This would be my plan for the Nets:
1. Trade up from Pick 6 to Pick 5 with the Clippers in order to secure Darius Acuff Jr.
2. Trade Michael Porter Jr. for another 2026 lottery pick and matching salary
3. Trade Nic Claxton for a late 2026 1st-round pick or a future 1st-round pick, along with matching salary
4. Do whatever it takes, in terms of future draft capital, to get full rights to your own 2027 1st-round pick back from the Rockets
5. Use your plethora of cap space to take on bad contracts for more draft picks and/or young players, and/or use it to acquire legitimate pieces under age-25 to build a more competitive team
6. Bring in more veterans who can help guide, lead, and develop our younger talent
Also, fire Sean Marks.
This just proves how broken the NBA is to me.
Call me a homer or whatever, but how does the league continue to reward teams that have no business getting these many chances?
Yes, it's a lottery, but at the end of the day, Adam Silver and co. will always decide what narrative they want.
The Nets are actually cursed and that's all they'll be until some miracle comes their way.
I hate how the league is and I hate how screwed this franchise keeps getting
The Brooklyn Nets have signed head coach Jordi Fernandez and the entire coaching staff to multiyear contract extensions, sources tell ESPN. This solidifies a long-term commitment for Fernandez after two seasons at the helm.
