@ZSU_23_4 That was found to be a workaround, but the actual issue is people not keeping their Nvidia drivers up to date.

@ross54358162@artofthefootjob@hi_im_crimson@ShitpostRock He's likely implying using proton (using VKD3D) to translate DX12 to Vulkan. Which is how you'd play the game in Linux. There is typical overhead in the process varying from game to game or GPU (driver). so FPS is typically less than native, in some edge cases.. more.
@msigaming I've switched to the 8pin X2 -> 16pin adapter. It's just the placement and margin of that connector and it being on it in the first place (My ASUS 5060ti uses a 8pin PCIe cable) that grinds my gears.
Omfg @msigaming or whoever. Why would you inset the power connector into a distance considerably lower than the cooler shroud like this?
Let alone have a 16-pin 12VHPWR in a 5060ti at all instead of regular 8pin for a 180w GPU?
Absolutely idiotic design decision.
@IT_Sundae I wouldn't get one, given my steam deck... nothing really stands out to me to get it for. About the only thing that would get me to get it immediately would be if the portable team for Monster Hunter announced their next game and it being an exclusive.
@IT_Sundae It is still rather interesting from the hardware side of things, I just want to know the deets on the Nvidia chip in it in doing 1080p/120 and 4K/60 docked and how much on DLSS their relying on it to get that given some of the games shown for it.
