1) Falciparum transmission:
Earlier ONLY ACT used for treatment.

Now, ACT plus a single LOW DOSE primaquine used. (0.5mg/kg, same for G6PD deficiency as well)
For gametocyte neutralisation in low-transmission settings.

During one of my emergency duties in August end, we had a patient who was the head of a division (VVIP). He had an acute MI.
Thrombolysed the pt, shifted him and he eventually got a TVD and had staged plasty and long duration of admission of around 1 month in the hospital. (1/n)
