genuinely believing that fictional characters serve ANY other purpose than to move a story forward as tools of narrative is a wrong idea is why fandoms have become so difficult your psychosis is not the story's problem oh my god
Putting this out there for any young #heatedrivalry fans that haven’t watched When Harry Met Sally yet, do it. It’s a great movie to watch while you wait for Friday ❤️
@rozanover @rawzanov @hollanovist Of course and I don’t like the assumption that people are using the phrase because they are ignorant. We don’t all share the same lives just thought I would answer the question as best I could.
@rozanover @rawzanov @hollanovist We are always learning there’s nothing wrong with not knowing something and all cultures have different experiences so thank you for asking. I won’t be able to explain it fully or accurately with a twitter limit so here is a fantastic article https://t.co/iSqfa7a8lJ
I can only hope this leads to more and more content. More safe spaces. Less puritan culture. Less forced silence. It’s a lot to put onto one thing but it’s hope I’ve started to loose lately and I welcome it with open arms
One reason I believe women are so drawn to mlm media is because sexual comfort and expression has always been linked to freedom. Women’s rights increase when they are given the space to explore their sexuality and the same is shared in the queer community.
Seeing something like Heated Rivalry a show based on a book written by a woman, adapted by an openly gay man that recognizes the power of fandom and queer media and everything it can be to help someone recognize themselves, be so openly received brings me & my younger self joy
