Bhishma recited Shri Vishnu Sahasranama (श्री विष्णुसहस्रनामस्तोत्रम्) to Yudhishthira while lying on a bed of arrows after the Kurukshetra war, as he waited for Uttarayana. Shri Krishna, the other Pandavas, Veda Vyasa, Narada, and several other great rishis were also present to listen to Bhishma’s teachings.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Vishnu Sahasranama literally means, 1000 names of Shri Vishnu. Below are the initial concluding lines spoken by Bhishma after reciting the 1000 names:

भीष्म उवाच ।
इतीदं कीर्तनीयस्य केशवस्य महात्मनः ।
नाम्नां सहस्रं दिव्यानामशेषेण प्रकीर्तितम् ॥
य इदं शृणुयान्नित्यं यश्चापि परिकीर्तयेत् ।
नाशुभं प्राप्नुयात्किञ्चित्सोऽमुत्रेह च मानवः ॥
- विष्णुसहस्रनामस्तोत्रम्, फलश्रुतिः १-२ (महाभारतम्, अनुशासनपर्व, १४९.१२१-१२२)

Bhishma -
Thus has been completely recited the thousand divine names of the great-souled Keshava, who is worthy of praise.

One who listens to this every day, and one who also recites it, that person will not suffer any misfortune, either in this world or in the next.
