Here’s why:
We did the same drills over and over again for an hour every practice. Then later in meetings we watched film on those drills while being critiqued by the coach. Every detail mattered.
The ones who bought in had some form of success. The ones that didn’t weren’t there very long.
What I learned from that experience was that true development and ultimately long term success come from doing the boring, repetitive things nobody else wants to do.
