Police arrested dozens of pro-democracy politicians early Wednesday in a series of dawn raids that swept up many of the opposition’s most prominent opposition figures https://t.co/yZtoHg9KY9
When US is handling the election certification, HK gov just arrests nearly all pro-democracy activists and nominees in the primaries today.
As a nominee in the democratic primaries, I urge the US gov and Free World to stay alert and stand with HK by all means.

About 50 pro-democracy figures in Hong Kong have been arrested under a national security law, local media say. Activists and former lawmakers were among those reportedly taken into custody on suspicion of subversion. https://t.co/wtDKIctSKD
#HongKong police arrested over 50 individuals in relation to last year's democratic primaries. Among those arrested were prominent pro-democracy activists, former opposition lawmakers and the pollster who ran the city-wide polls.
1. It’s devastating to witness three of my former colleagues, Joshua, Agnes, Ivan are jailed. The sentencing is absurd. Retweet if you have the same demands:
1.Immediate release of the trio
2.Stop prosecuting under National Security Law
3.Sanction accountable govt officials
A blue-jacketed high school demonstrator known as "lunch brother" is monitored by #HongKong police as he reads a copy of the pro-democracy Apple Daily at an MTR station. He is known for his, often one-man, "Lunch With You" protests. Photo: StandNews.
Latest update on the situation for #12HKyouths. They have not been allowed to call their families, been denied bail and held without charge in a Chinese detention center. And on top of that been barred from meeting rights lawyers. Shame on you China!#IPAC https://t.co/UPrnQqzx85
A #HongKong high school student reading @appledaily_hk newspaper is surrounded by police, receives a warning. He left shortly after.
Completely absurd & farcical.
He’s only gone and WON IT! Carried along by the #HKmovement, whose spirit refuses be crushed.
@nathanlawkc a heavy burden has been placed upon your shoulders. Know that you have our unconditional support. In awe of what you’ve achieved already. #proud

Deeply disturbed that Hong Kong democracy activists, arrested two weeks ago, have been denied access to lawyers of their choice. We hope Chief Executive Lam’s stated commitment to protecting the rights of Hong Kong residents is more than just words.
