As part of #ASBAwarenessWeek, Northumbria Police are highlighting motorcycle disorder. We encourage residents to report incidents of anti-social behaviour involving motorcycles. You can do this online or through 101. This helps police to understand where the real problems are!

[Northumbria Police @northumbriapol]

We’re committed to tackling motorcycle disorder & need your help!

We regularly receive calls from residents about off-road motorcycles & quads being ridden dangerously & associated ASB.

This is a priority for us & we continue to seize bikes & take them off our streets. (1/4)

Looking forward to this tonight. Still time to register and get yourselves along.

We believe in democracy. We believe in accountability.

We are appalled the current mayor is banned from standing as a @UK_Labour candidate after delivering his NE devolution deal pledge, giving a free run to a PCC who has not delivered pledges & won't respond to indep cllrs.

[Jamie Driscoll @JamieDriscollNE]

I’ve been barred from standing as North East Mayor by @UKLabour. No explanation has been given.
I’m proud to have created thousands of jobs, fought child poverty, built affordable homes and delivered our Green New Deal. I believe in democracy. Share if you do too. More to follow.

Good luck to all 9 Newcastle Independents candidates standing for election today. They have worked hard to get their message out to residents and show the change they can deliver.

@Tom_Blair always recommend that voters in wards where we are unable to field a candidate look at the information they receive from all candidates in the election. It was not our intention to endorse any candidate and we have updated the post to make this clear. (2/3)

Statement from Jason Smith on the death of Nigel Todd:

I was very sorry to hear of the sudden death of Councillor Nigel Todd.

Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons ban shoppers without face masks. Supermarkets need to remember that not everyone can wear a face cover. We have encountered a number of instances where shops insist on people wearing a mask even when they are exempt https://t.co/dD72l31Ulz

Well done to Cllr Ian Donaldson on his maiden speech to Newcastle City Council full council meeting about the closure of the West Denton swimming pool.

As I said on This Morning, she could not bring herself to utter the words British Armed Forces in her thanks. She hides behind "our". Thanks for proving my point
