@dahawk7843 The loosening of the grip of the coal industry on Dem Senators and the broadening of the climate constituency were both key factors to how we got here. Sen. Reid was a friend, but he sure strung us out until we truly had no alternatives.

It was now or never and - thankfully - now delivered. Deep gratitude to all those who developed these proposals over years, got them embedded in the Cong. zeitgeist, and then pulled them over the line. I thank you as my descendants will thank you. We may have a fighting chance.
