[Dr.Jitendra Awhad @Awhadspeaks]

Attended funeral of Dr. Sheeraz Khan, MBBS from Sir JJ Hospital. Dr. Sheeraz was a resident of Mumbra who was serving people for more than 20 years. Last night he left his clinic at around 1-1:15 AM and then he was found unconscious near lake at Khardi Road with fatal wounds all over his body. Last he was seen leaving his clinic, post that there is no footage of him in any of the CCTV camera, God only knows where are the CCTV cameras installed on which crores of public money were spent!

Law and order situation is gone up for a toss in this city. All kinds of illegal activities are on the rise. Govt lands are being taken away to make illegal buildings and land mafias would pull out revolvers openly every now and then.

Not a long time ago, this city was on a very good track of progress. The residents would surely remember how honest police officers like Mr. Sonde maintained the peace and law and order situation. The development in the city also peaked at that time.

Today TMC and Thane Police both have completely turned blind on the destruction of this beautiful emerging city. So many complaints on the issue of illegal land mafias have been raised but all in vain.

This murder of an honest and respectable resident Doctor Sheeraz Khan should be a wake up call for the authorities.

With a heavy heart I paid homage to Doctor Sheeraz Khan today. I wish all strength for the bereaved family. In few days I will meet the commissioner of Thane and discuss the progress of the investigation on this case. We want early and thorough investigation of this gruesome murder. Culprits should be caught and send to gallows
