I don’t know who needs to hear this but hip-hop/rapping is not all “vulgar” language and talking about “fucking bitches” and to reduce it to that to defend your white pop favs is racist idc
Tyler, The Creator has been frustrated with his fanbase for a long time and it shows. You can see the effort he puts into trying to educate them about Black music and its roots, but it’s clear the message isn’t landing. The D’Angelo post seemed to be his breaking point. At this stage, nothing will really change until he confronts it directly — including his own role in shaping the kind of audience he now feels disconnected from.
Feeling bad about what happened is totally understandable.
Channelling that disappointment into unreasonable hatred and smear tactics for a different film that people love doesn’t make you the hero.
It makes you a prick.
