@RichFMatt They are not committed to truth. They hope to save themselves through lying in order that hopefully keep the gravy train running. Turns out that money is more important than integrity, and God sees that. He’s not stupid. The gravy train is not the gospel.
@jk_rowling Really? This is the hill you want to die on? Don’t wizards wear robes? Aren’t robes dresses? What’s the big deal? And why so much fuss about not using their preferred pronouns? Is there something wrong with a man identifying with his femininity?
@DavidFish7 An example of God doing this overtly is with Wesley and Stacey Campbell’a when they were Plymouth brethren and in one meeting when they didn’t even believe in that stuff they became holy rollers. Also, God speaks through unbelievers like Caiaphas. Good word.
@ihopkc The root of Bickle’s problem is bad theology. The bad theology has not been repented of yet because it permeates all of the conservative evangelical church that elevates patriarchy and sexual repression over egalitarianism and flexible morality.
@Bubblebathgirl@kylegriffin1 I also heard that the moon is made out of cheese and that the moon landing never happened. It’s fun to make up conspiracy theories to stroke your bruised ego.
@AmandaHeldOpelt It breaks my heart to think about you. I still mourn with you guys. I haven’t read or bought it yet, but I will. I will leave a review eventually. I pray that you are able to envision Jesus walking by your side like a most trusted best friend sharing secrets with you.
@dalepartridge@AbidingInLove_ People ARE aiming for Christian nationalism. The whole Trump craze was that here was a president that was sympathetic to Christian leaders being in power. But the goal is not to put Christian leaders into power. This is not the age of Constantine, sir, with all due respect.
@AmandaHeldOpelt I've noticed that they are more vocal about mental health issues, normalizing it, making it cool even in pop music to discuss insecurities and anxiety.
