@wholemars The “experts” are the biggest doubters.
I talked to someone who thinks lidar is necessary for FSD because he designs lidar systems to land helicopters in zero visibility.
I’m like, “I don’t drive anymore”
@JOBhakdi Agree. Right now the batteries come from Texas. Semi won’t truly scale until they’re producing 4680s in Nevada. Hopefully not too long from now.
@Vol888 This feels like a super binary event. It’s either gonna give up all the gains tomorrow or it’s the great repricing. Will be a bummer if @smdcapital misses the thing he’s been preaching about for years.
Assuming competitors can build autonomous vehicles at the same cost as Tesla is an incredibly ill-informed assumption. Cybercab cost is a fraction of competitors. Experts calculate it to be less than $30,000. Waymo (Tesla’s closest competitor) won’t tell us, but they probably spend at least 3 times that per vehicle.
@HinrichsZane Those can be great depending on what you’re doing. They give you enough time to have a sit down meal without having to run out to move the car off the charger.
@Fearinator@heyitsyashu@ChrisCamillo If they get to that point, then they will already own half of all internet traffic and virtually all of space based data centers. Funding won’t be problem.
