This is almost funny. Instead of being posted in March, had it been posted in April, I would have thought it was an April Fool's Prank.

Except No one is laughing. What on earth were the team thinking? Pathetic attempt by @cronosapp @cryptocom and @kris to try and reverse the 2021 token burn of 70 Billion $CRO token by reissuing another 70 Billion $CRO tokens. This is very scary. Blockchains shouldn't be allowed to issue tokens like this. Thankfully we have DAO voting.

At the moment it looks clear that the vote won't pass and this won't happen.

There is a 95% Vote against this proposal saying NO reflecting the holder sentiments against this absolute stupidity and madness from the team. When this vote was created all the 24 million votes that are saying Yes was immediately voted by the team on the proposal creation and from that point not a single person has voted Yes for this proposal.

But 2 things are annoying about this proposal.

First - The proposal doesn't have any mention of this 70 billion token issuance except the blogpost. All that the mintscan proposal says is "Proposed updates to network parameters and token allocations as part of the Cronos POS V5 upgrade"

If one did not read the blogpost and reading just the proposal in isolation it looks like an innocent Chain Upgrade. So every future proposal will need to be read in detail on the github page with all the parameter changes mentioned here - https://t.co/KJ5cUWrbAh

Second - Voting with $CRO held in Cronos Chain.

You can hold $CRO in 3 chains.
#1 Cronos POS - which is the Original Cosmos Chain
#2 Cronos EVM - Which is the L1 EVM Chain
#3 Cronos zkEVM - Which is the L2 EVM Chain

Most of my $CRO is in #2 and #3 where it can earn better yield. But this proposal is on mintscan which I think can be voted only on the Cosmos chain #1

That means I cannot vote No on this proposal unless I move all my CRO tokens to the Cronos POS chain. 😡
