Just 20 minutes on foot from Binhai (Yujiapu) station in Tianjin (N China) — and you get the oldest station by building still standing: Tanggu South.

The old Tanggu (Tang-ku) station, since renamed Tanggu South, with the oldest station building still standing in China (at least the mainland). Inside of station closed to public since 2004. But still worth a visit. 20 mins on foot from Binhai station. @seatsixtyone @AndyBTravels

The railways build bridges… and the bridge itself is the main theme of the design of Shijiazhuang (石家庄) railway station in Hebei, N China. This new station, opened late 2012, featured almost five times as many platforms as the old station did!

Covid has absolutely decimated the project, along with closed borders. China is one of the few countries not to have budged from an absolute Zero Covid policy, meaning our travels are limited on the ground. But there's a lot of backlog content — which we'll share with you soon!
