@tanvinhseattle Hi, Tan. I wanted to let you know about a newsletter I started where I'm exploring the evolution of Seattle's culinary scene:

As a fellow food writer, I'd feel honored if you subscribed!
My Coway air purifier is also glowing red, indicating the air in this loft is hazardous. Not surprised, given the exposed brick walls and age of this building.
I want OFF this ride.
I love the PNW, but this air quality is enough to make me consider moving. This is the 5th year in a row. The new normal abnormal. For those who don't live here, across Lake Washington to the east, Microsoft's campus is sporting numbers in the 300s.
@Will_MI77 Yes. Anticipated completion is sometime in December. One year after we tore the house down. It's been a long, frustrating slog. I'm not sure I'd do it again. I've been documenting it on my Insta Stories. We're smack in the middle of PSQU. Tired of that, too.
Thoughts after a year of building a house: small construction firms could benefit from adopting Agile methodologies and using project management tools like Jira and Visual Studio to keep projects on track, clarify expectations, map dependencies, centralize communication, etc.
20+ years living on Queen Anne and it is shocking to me how little highly educated, wealthy residents know about the city's tree regulations, including which trees are public and that cutting down trees on private property is often illegal.

I used DV leave @Microsoft to help my daughter extricate herself from a very abusive relationship. I had a great boss at the time who was 100% supportive and empathetic. I feel bad for this woman and really glad I never had this experience.
