I spent the last week doing all my work on a M2 MacBook Air. Spec'ed up to a MBP level price (24GB/515GB/10GPU) however, but it does the business in a nicer form factor. I can recommend if you're considering it ;-)
Source code for the Qt Quick 3D OpenXR module is now available. Still very early, and everything is still up in the air regarding the API, but at least anyone can give it a try now https://t.co/gWjB9cdXGV
We've not always aced the balance between our passion for Open Source and our believe that it is possible to make the development of #Qt a profitable, sustainable business.
We're looking for someone that can help us with that challenge!

@qtproject been playing around with #QtQuick3D here's a game demo https://t.co/dxHxmOldLg maybe you should advertise qt more also as a game plataform 😀
Ok, I was really determined to build it(even dropped the second PC back to the office to do that in meanwhile), but just today @qtproject made my day and released Qt 6.1 Beta1! I can confirm that 3d particles are working! #qtdev try it yourself! Kudos for @QUItCoding!
@gilhagi We have WasdController in the QtQuick3D.Helpers module. https://t.co/AJPLTOvfHc But it doesn't do a good job of handling multitouch area. I just wanted the dual stick style controls for the above demo like I see in many mobile 3d games, but handling touch is a bit more involved.
Tested QtQuick3D 6.0 on iOS last week (using Metal to render). It works really nice on the iPad Pro at 120Hz, here is a video of the glTF2 samples running there (bugs included since we're still pre-release😋): https://t.co/a0qo6oP66m
Seems doc-snapshots has updated its content, which provides an excellent opportunity to get a sneak peek at some of Qt 6.0's upcoming new graphics features. More docs for other new stuff coming soon. #qtdev

@gilhagi@alpqr It's possible to use QtQuick3D along with QQuickRenderControl to render directly to the native texture types of all the RHI backends (including OpenGL textures): https://t.co/UTBQP5Uts0 I used that for my OpenXR demo.
