National Federation of People with Disabilities in Namibia NFPDN. An umbrella body of organizations of people with disabilities, to lobby for their rights.
To ensure that people with disabilities are protected and assisted during humanitarian emergencies, reliable and upto-date information is needed on the number of individuals with a disability in the affected population and the barriers they face.
Disability disaggregated data is required to identify the needs and challenges as well as to deliver solutions that can improve the lives of the people with disabilities in line with Sustainable Development Goals.
NFPDN and GIZ will host a media awareness conference on the importance of disability disaggregated data under the theme: “Disability Disaggregated Data Benefits All” on the 09 June 2022. The conference will be held at Alte Brocke Holiday Resort, Swakopmund, from 09h00-17h00.

Valid and reliable Disability Disaggregated Data will assure state agencies secure the tools for assessing the cost-effectiveness of policies for people with disabilities, which in turn can provide the evidence to persuade governments of their ultimate benefit for all citizens.
