Unregulated drug toxicity is now the leading cause of death in B.C. for people aged 10 to 59, with more people dying from drug poisoning than from homicide, suicide, accidents and natural disease combined.

Stocking up on Ben and Jerry's 🍦🍦🍦.
PS - this isn't a one time tweet by the company. My gal has been working there and leading a campaign, in solidarity with Indigenous land defenders, to abolish the RCMP's CIRG unit in BC.
I am stunned at @benandjerrys post about Land Back and returning the Black Hills. Usually even the most “progressive” brands will only offer lukewarm land acknowledgments and stop there. Seeing a company this big tell the real truth using this language evokes so many emotions.
Do something awesome for the Indigenous people today, if you see they need help, help them. If they didn't expect you to show up, bring coffee and some smiles (call first, today may not be ideal for it). Today, these lands and our recent history begs something different from all non Indigenous people. It should never be the people who have been harmed, that do the most work to 'reconcile' but here we are. You can do better, your 'Canada' can do better. It takes will and love. Two things you are capable of simply because you are human.💕🪶
Do me a favour and tweet the hashtag #NoPrideinGenocide this #CanadaDay What is there to celebrate when the #IndianAct remains in place, our children are still being stolen, our people disproportionately jailed and Indigenous women are still going missing/murdered? #MMIWG2S

Florida is facing a sewage crisis. Population growth, septic tanks, aging sewer lines, using dried sewage for farm "fertilizer", flooding, corruption, lax regulation, and tax abatements for developers have left the state bursting at the seams...with literal shit.
Award-winning chef Sean Sherman (Oglala Sioux) has added a few new job titles—educator, retailer, nonprofit executive—with his newest venture: Indigenous Food Lab.
