Aida Heydari was just 21 years old, living in Tehran. She was a brilliant, hardworking medical student at Tehran University; full of life and energy, always teaching and diving deep into her studies. She was the hope and backbone of her family, especially her sister, who’s now burning in grief over her loss. On January 8th, in Tehran’s Sadeghieh neighborhood, she was killed by gunfire from the Islamic Republic regime’s forces. The university’s security officials wouldn’t even let them hold a simple, peaceful memorial for her on campus, sparking widespread strikes and protests from brave students who vowed not to take their exams. She worked tirelessly, day and night, dreaming of saving lives… but her own chance to live was stolen away.

#Breaking: It has now been confirmed that 17-year-old Shiva Javid, who was murdered by the security forces of #Iran’s Islamic regime in #Mashhad on January 9, 2026, had been arrested alive.

According to her family, she was killed in detention. Her face and skull were crushed by the regime’s security forces using a heavy object—likely their weapons—while she was being tortured in custody.

On the same day Shiva was arrested, her father, 37-year-old Ali Javid, was shot and killed by the security forces in front of her.

جاویدنام حمید مهدوی، آتش‌نشان تازه‌استخدام‌شده مشهد، در حال کمک به معترضان مجروح توسط نیروهای حکومتی کشته شد. او علاوه بر فعالیت حرفه‌ای در آتش‌نشانی، ورزشکار و داور بین‌المللی راگبی بود.
