Really successful projects are more about the community than the art... and the marketing too.
But IMO, mekas are an example of elite marketing, but it was really all about the marketing and little about the community, and it scared everybody.
Also, Ethereum is/was such a beautiful technology! So, so beautiful [coming from a non-techy]. I feel we're still in the early days [despite joining in so late].
