@ClayTravis @JoshPateCFB Should be nfl model for scheduling. All P4 conf should have the same number of teams. Where you finish in your conf you play the same place from the other 3 as out of conference games, then 8 conf games, and you can schedule 1 cupcake. Also helps clarity on conf strength.

@jasonrmcintyre Couldn’t you argue though that it just means opportunity to rebuild the roster as you see fit as a coach? Not like other jobs where if you don’t win year 1 you’re on the hot seat. Lot of old guys with big contracts coming off the books so there will be cap space to build your way

@LuptakSteve @JoshYohe_PGH @AGretz The point is that the Steelers are more than a qb away and have been for a long time. This roster has holes all over. The teams BC built were truly an elite qb away hence once they got Ben they won a SB. I also recall Ben beating both PM & TB as a rookie with BC as coach.

@RfElic_412 @JoshYohe_PGH @AGretz He had 2 seasons with a fully healthy Ben and went 15-1 and made the afc champ, then the next year won the Super Bowl. both before Ben was even close to his prime. He made an afc champ and Super Bowl with O’Donnel at qb. MT was a good coach, BC was better. Lucky to have had both.

Wasting 1st round picks on Jarvis, burns, bush, Edmonds. Overpaying for avg to bad veterans. Then 0 ability or clue how to build an offense

This roster has holes and flaws all over and proved that even when we had Ben at his peak in the mid 2010s tomlin couldn’t get it done. If cowher would’ve had BR for 15 years, at least 3 SBs
