Requiring biomedical PhD students to write a dissertation before graduation is outdated - I think that establishing a preprint/publication requirement in lieu of a dissertation is better for students and better for the scientific community.

Advice for new PhD students: choose a mentor who is committed to your training, not just your project. The most important product of your PhD - even more important than the science - is you, a newly trained scientist.
Move to a small town.
Buy a $200K house instead of a $900K one.
Take the job that gives you more time, not the biggest salary.
Have kids.
Know your neighbors.
Grill in the backyard.
Take road trips instead of luxury vacations.
Pay off the house.
Build a simple life.
Then you’re 70, sitting on the porch with the person you love, watching your grandkids play.
The house isn’t impressive.
The town isn’t famous.
But somehow, you won.

As head of @CatholicVote I have written the Bishops of Massachusetts to request more than a strongly worded statement against H. 5595.
I ask clarification on the excommunication of @MassGovernor.
Public expansion and celebration of genocide by a Catholic requires response.
Happening now in Spain, the Bishop was right:
"They are not refugees, they're invaders who want to Islamize Europe. They want to destroy Europe's religion and culture" ✝️
Do you support the Bishop?
