In a new Pasadena Weekly feature, our CEO Nhon Ma shares why classroom cellphone bans aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, he calls for smarter policies that balance the power of tech with the need for focus and well-being. 🤓

I’m truly at a loss for words. My wife and I lost our entire home and everything in it to the Eaton Fire. Our whole block and most of our neighborhood is completely gone. So devastating. We’re just one of so many families who are grieving in LA right now. My heart goes out to everyone affected. I’m so grateful that we’re safe, and we will get through this.
Getting back on our feet and making sure I’m mentally ready for tour will be my main priorities for now— not sure if/how other content will be affected.
Peace and love everyone, let’s please take care of each other ❤️🙏🏻
A “ton of people” stayed behind in Pasadena as there are no firefighters coming to help.
Many residents just stand helplessly as their homes burn.
Others race to the roofs to spray water to try and save something, even if it’s not their home.
It’s a mix of shock and heroism.
