📚 🍽️ During the National Year of Reading, Queen Camilla, as Royal Patron of both the National Literacy Trust & The Big Lunch Initiative, joined volunteers from across the United Kingdom at the British Library to celebrate the power of sharing stories and food to bring communities together. The Queen visited the ‘deep dark woods’ section of the British Library’s ‘Fairy Tales’ Family Exhibition to explore items related to the heroes & villains from magical tales, including ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. The Queen also observed a dress-up and storytelling activity rooted in how sharing stories can reflect the values of the changing world & connect people to the things they care about. Afterwards, Her Majesty proceeded to the Library’s Piazza & met approximately 150 youth, community & corporate volunteers taking part in The Big Lunch.
