A brilliant away end tonight. Alejandro Garnacho and John Terry already on the receiving end. Those United fans making some noise, all you can hear at Stamford Bridge so far #mufc
Motion to move All-Irelands back two weeks is withdrawn at Congress. It was heading for a hiding. Let that be the end of this nonsense. County players having time with their clubs is the very thing that makes the GAA unique. It has to be protected
For me, a vote against this proposal is a vote for club players all over the country. Certainty of fixtures and a small portion of the good weather to play their games in.
A vote for is for casual inter-county supporters, media outlets & expensive backroom. That’s who benefits.
Michael Carrick: “It was a proud moment for me, to be able to give Tyler [Fletcher] his next step really in his career. I never take that for granted, never before, when I was at Middlesbrough, and giving young players an opportunity.
I wanted to get him out on the pitch today, just to sample it and feel it. He came on and did really well. It's what this club is and what a week to do it, with the anniversary of Munich and the Busby Babes and everything this club is based on. So it's special and I certainly don't take that for granted. It was great to give Tyler his chance.”

When the need was greatest for a best in class GAA CEO to lead the new Clare GAA we got very lucky. Best of luck going forward Deirdre. You will leave it in some shape. 🤝
The Clare GAA community is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Noel Normoyle.
A proud native of Kilmihil, Noel represented his club with distinction at all levels, winning Minor, U21 and Senior County Championships as well as a Cusack Cup. His commitment and talent also shone in the saffron and blue of Clare, where he was a valued member of the historic Munster Championship–winning panel of 1992. Ten years earlier, he also achieved the great honour of winning a Railway Cup medal with Munster.
In later years, Noel shared his passion and knowledge of the game with his adopted club, Éire Óg, where he contributed in many coaching roles. His influence was central to their Senior Championship success in 2000 and their Minor Championship win in 2012, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
On behalf of Clare GAA, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to Noel’s family, friends, and all who mourn his passing. His contribution to both club and county will be long remembered with gratitude and respect.

Darragh McCarthy on scoring 1-13 in the final:
‘Even after having a stinker on the frees in the semi final, the management backed me to the hilt.
‘Liam just said, ‘you’re the man’. He backed me. It gave me so much confidence.’
