@bbc5live@LongCovidAdvoc@NickyAACampbell Long Covid since 2021. Had to leave my nursing job and now use a wheelchair when out of the house and take a lot of medications.
💜🌟#PoTSAwarenessDay🌟💜
#PoTS is so much more than just a fast heart rate upon standing!
Quality of life can be equivalent to COPD and congestive heart failure.
Many patients are told that their physical symptoms are ‘all in their head’ and instead are given psychiatric labels of #anxiety & #depression.
Triggers: viruses, bacterial infection, pregnancy, surgery, a traumatic event, immunisation, hypermobility.

@EliMcCann We don’t usually lie to our kiddo but the best one which I suggest for the future. We told her we don’t get peppa pig on our TV. Her Grannie showed it to her and we said Grannie somehow does but it doesn’t work on our TV 🤷♀️. Was nice not having to deal with the pig 24/7
@ObviousElk@raynerjaeliu https://t.co/bDdETPdRoo a quick search and there’s a list of a few of the “public” people. Not everyone’s going to
Make the news.
@ObviousElk@raynerjaeliu But comparatively thats
A small amount of people? Observation bias…. People like me are going to be online looking for information/treatment. Why would I make this up? I’m not telling you to do or not do anything? Just that Covid messed me up
@ObviousElk@raynerjaeliu Idk what you mean by public? I was a nurse. I caught covid. It disabled me and I had to leave my job. I’ve done a piece for the royal college of nursing and am doing a webinar in Dec for health care staff. I’m a member of online groups of 1000s in a similar situation
