The reason some of you don't have a job is because you don't want to work for free.
I know that sounds stupid, because the question in your mind right now is:
“How do I make money if I work for free?”
Well, that’s exactly what I’ll teach you in this post.
First, let’s clear something up.
Working for free without a plan is a scam.
Working for free with intention is strategy.
Most people confuse the two.
▪️ Where people get it wrong
This is how most people “work for free”:
- No clear role
- No defined skill
- No timeline
- No proof to show
They just hang around communities, chat every day, and hope someone notices them.
That’s not how jobs happen.
That’s how people waste time.
▪️ The mindset shift you need
When you work for free the right way, you’re not being exploited.
You’re reducing risk for the project.
Think about it from their side: Why would a team pay a stranger they’ve never seen deliver anything?
They won’t.
So instead of asking for trust, you show value first.
That’s the shortcut.
▪️ How to work for free the right way
1. Offer one specific skill
Not “I can help with anything.”
Say:
“I can write weekly updates”
“I can summarize announcements”
“I can make short clips”
“I can help answer community questions”
Specific work is easy to judge.
2. Create proof before asking for money
Before you ever talk about payment, have something to show:
2-3 short posts
1 clear summary
1 simple graphic or clip
In life, proof beats potential every time.
3. Set a time limit. Free work should never be open-ended.
Examples:
“I’ll help for 7 days”
“Let me do this for two weeks and we’ll review”
“Happy to test this weekly for a short period”
This protects your time and shows confidence.
4. Start with small teams. Big projects are crowded.
Small teams actually need help.
That’s where:
- your work gets noticed
- trust builds faster
- paid roles come quicker
A good example here is Miden.
They’re still in a early phase and haven’t launched a Discord yet.
That’s usually a strong signal that there’s room to step in early, especially for community or moderator roles.
5. Ask for pay once value is clear
After 1-2 weeks of consistent output, it’s normal to say:
“Can we make this a paid role?”
“Is there a small budget to continue this weekly?”
“Happy to keep helping if there’s compensation.”
If they say no, you still walk away with:
- proof
- experience
- reputation
Nothing is wasted.
▪️ The real truth
Working for free isn’t a scam. Working for free without structure is.
If you do it intentionally, with limits and proof, you’ll get paid faster than most people who only apply and complain.
We had walk-to-earn in 2022 (StepN)
We had click-to-earn in 2023 (onchain retros)
We had tap-to-earn in 2024 (Notcoin)
We have yap-to-earn in 2025 (Kaito)
What should we expect for 2026?
💯 FACT: Now 90% of the projects listing on Binance are just trash.
@binance : Please focus on real products, real teams, and projects that are actually building something meaningful.
If you keep running like this, then after just 4-5 months..👇
▪︎ Binance will become like any other regular CEX.
▪︎ There will be no hype or excitement from the community.
▪︎ Other CEXs might even overtake Binance in daily volume.
💎Bring back the strategy you used 2-3years ago..
POOR - NO CAR
MIDDLE CLASS - AVERAGE CAR
RICH - SUPERCARS
WEALTHY - NO CAR
The poor and the wealthy both don't have cars, but the difference lies in their mindsets.
The poor can't afford a car, while the wealthy don't need to afford one.
POORNESS TO WEALTHY IS A JOURNEY
