@TexasTSLA@tesla_na When I was a kid my dad’s car overheated one summer day, we rolled down the windows and cranked the heat and everything cooled off except us of course … have you tried that? 😂🤷♂️
@FutureAZA Spent the rest of the road trip a few degrees away from over heating though and significantly hotter than any other reading in the cooling loop.
@FutureAZA Too late… I did stop by service mid road trip, they confirmed the cooling system was functioning correctly. They couldn’t figure out why it was so hot and crossed the 90 C mark. Luckily a DAS reset cleared the issue and it’s been good since then. (Happed 7/24)
@wholemars@BLKMDL3 We took a 2K mile road trip with out 21 Y recently, trip down on V12 was good trip home with V14L had a emergency FSD shutdown for exceeding 90C. Stopped at service they looked over the cooling system couldn’t find any issues, rest of trip after SC board was borderline overheat.
@thewashley@wholemars Exactly, when the map data is wrong the auto set speed is laughable wrong. I have issues when a state highway goes from 55 to 35 in an instant, the car loves to slowly adjust the problem is it doesn’t start to adjust until after the 35 sign. (Where cops love to sit)
@onxlink Thanks for pointing that post out, Tesla service checked it for air bubbles. They even pulled the coolant lines activated the pumps to visually check the coolant flow.
@onxlink After a long drive using FSD? The thing that makes me think it’s FSD computer related is the rest of my system seems in a normal range it’s just the FSD computer that’s hot.
@MissJilianne I had one shutdown in a road trip so far after a fair number days f miles and supercharger stops. Had Tesla SC check the cooling system mid trip and they found no issues with it.
@Michigan_Tesla@HorizonCap21@TexasTSLA Took mine in for the same issue mid road trip, coolant system checked out fine, no bubbles to be found during vac test and coolant was full. 😞
@TexasTSLA Same issue on a 1,000 road trip with our 21 model y it overheated at a supercharger stop about 500 miles in. Stopped at Sac 5 techs spent an hour couldn’t find a cooling system issue. DAS reset resorted function but it sat around 85C after each SC stop the rest of the trip. 🔥
@MikeyTheSoldier@ChuckCook@Tesla@Tesla_AI Yes ours over heated on a long road trip. Took to a SC, everything checked out good in the coolant system but the FSD board was sitting just below over heat temp at 85C after supercharger stops for the rest of my drive home after a DAS reset restored function.
@CSUDavid@ChuckCook That was their first thought when our FSD computer over heated on a road trip. 5 techs spent one hour on it, coolant levels good, passed all tests tried pulling vacuum no bubbles found. A das reset restored function but at each SC stop the AP would float around 85C. 😳
@ChuckCook Yes downloaded V14L before a 1,000 return road trip, down was V12 home was V14L ap overhead on the way home after 500 miles or so. 5 Tesla techs spent an hour trying to figure out what it it 90C they couldn’t find an issue. A das reset and it was fine but hot-the rest of trip.
