My wife (finally) got a negative pregnancy test this morning. We never thought that would be a reason to feel relieved 💔
If you didn’t know (I didn’t know) a woman’s body still thinks it’s pregnant after going through something like what my wife did. Incomplete miscarriage, abortion etc… is not the end.
You still have to monitor certain hormone levels, and if you continue to get a positive pregnancy test, at a certain point, a D&C is required to remove uterine lining, or whatever remains in the body that is resulting in the positive pregnancy test.
My wife developed an infection, & narrowly avoided sepsis. But THANK GOD she did.
Watching her go through the daily reminders of the baby we lost, & the torturous lack of care she received, has been heartbreaking.
But I am forever in awe of her strength.
We will carry this with us for the rest of our lives.
Losing a baby should be enough. The added horror that women like my wife are currently being subject to because of Texas Abortion Law HAS TO STOP.
