@Stevef0x7@_Tumbawumba@zerohedge depends what you mean with powerful. They can defend themself and attack the neighbors, they can not attack the US themself. Not what they want.
Anyway, they won round 1, and thats with 1% of the american military budget. It is not likely that the americans would win a 2nd round.
@trmkbbck@RnaudBertrand the chinese chips are mostly Huawei, which the americans have put on some strange Embargo list.
So when the Chinese do something better, american companies won't be able to buy it because of this.
@Ulrich2000V@MarioNawfal it would help the local currency to get some value, because others must buy it.
In 2022 the russian Ruble lost value because of sanctions. Then Russia ordered that their Oil/Gas has to be payed with Rubles. Since then the Ruble is pretty stable.
@SprinterPress But if the access to US Dollar is constrained, because they can not sell Oil, how does switching to chinese Yuan helps, if they can still not sell Oil?
@KobeissiLetter There were comments by some Americans, that the blockade of Iranian vessels continues.
Everyone one would close the strait again when in the position of the Iranian leaders.
@_Tactical_Frog@Pataramesh Iran never really had much of an Air Force, mostly stuff purchased in the 1970s by the Shah...
They invested more in missiles and drones: cheaper, more bang for the buck
@LOVEROFTRUTHIRL@pirate1100@MarcDeroover@MyLordBebo@FabienMusty In Europe we have not much natural ressources to generate energy, so we can reduce imports by using renewables.
Problem is that there are times with lots of sun (Summer) and wind, but some times are without both... So one better builds more than needed to have redundancy
