@MeridianAngelPS taking on board lessons from OTI program. Coconstructing the success criteria using a visual organiser to support writing. @OTeaching@osirisedu
Talked to a Tory MP last night who was backing Johnson
"Do you think he'd be any good as PM"
"No"
"What on earth will he do about Brexit"?
"No one knows"
"Why do you want him, then?"
"He's the best hope we've got"
"By 'we" you don't mean Britain do you?"
"No the party, of course"
Replacing written marking with immediate verbal feedback means I havenโt taken a set of books home in 18 months. Here, a piece of work is placed under visualiser, live marked and improvements suggested by the class. They improve theirs having been made to think - the vital step.
Year 2 were challenged as soon as they came in this morning, not only recapping on basic math skills but also working tactically to outwit their partner and win #connect4 adapted #learninggrid@OTeaching
That's another fantastic group of OTI teachers celebrating their successful journeys @woodburnps. Well done to all, lovely group to work with. @OTeaching@OsirisEduScot#OTIScotland
Fantastic team of OTI teachers smiling after giving excellent presentations on their learning journeys. So proud of them all @BurnbraePS @OsirisEduScot@OTeaching#OTIScotland
Lots of graphic organisers to support learners and structure their thinking. Children using PMI effectively when considering whether young people should be allowed smartphones, with good points in all three places. @BurnbraePS @OsirisEduScot#OTIScotland
@teacherhead@surreallyno No, not lucky. We apply for jobs and choose to work in our school based on our skills and strengths. Some choose the more privileged settings, others the more deprived. Depends what type of challenge you are looking for.
Simple but very effective visualiser used in a maths lesson for feedback and spotting improvements. Really making the learning clear @MTSPrep@OTeaching@osirisedu
