Finally, in the last chapter of “Becoming an AI Orchestrator”, @SadiStLawrence writes it best: "[d]isruption is painful but it also drives innovation."

The pattern repeats itself.

The industrial revolution disrupted physical labor. Painful.

Then: innovation.

I'd add this: AI isn't the first technology to disrupt cognitive work.

The first? Social media when it rewired your attention, identity and how you decide what's true.

The second? AI. And it goes deeper.

Where's the innovation waiting on the other side of this disruption?

Geography.

While everyone argues about what AI can and can't understand, the missing layer is where. Location isn't metadata; it's infrastructure, the context that makes intelligence useful.

The orchestrator's job isn't to fear the disruption.

It's to find the innovation hiding inside it and stay curious enough to chase it.

It takes me days to finish a book.

@sadiestlawrence book? “Becoming an AI Orchestrator” (it’s part of @jonkrohn's @pearson AI Signature Series). In a few hours today.

Keep in mind that my mild imposter syndrome was in my head this weekend because as a child and adult, I love finding information and improving processes.

Sadie's book made me realize that I was an AI orchestrator all along.

I didn't have the word for it yet.

Resistance is futile.

The Borg said it the best, but The Matrix, Terminator and 2001 delivered the same warning.

Hollywood taught us to fear AGI. The machines take over.

Humans lose control.

And yet:

1) we can't wait to hand over the boring stuff: analyze my calendar, build the spreadsheet, draft the slides and sort my inbox or

2) frees up time so I can focus on what actually matters to me.

We fear the machines taking control.

We also really hate doing busywork.

The orchestrator knows both are true at once.

If you're curious, you'll love change because it's constant.

The key? How you meet it.

Resist it, and every shift feels like a threat.

Embrace curiosity and the same shift becomes a question worth chasing.

AI isn't the thing replacing you; it enhances what you do if you stay curious enough to ask how.

The orchestrator doesn't fear what's next.

They're too busy being curious.

The biggest barrier to becoming an AI orchestrator?

Psychology because we hate asking for help (🙋 if you've decided to grind it out instead of asking someone for help).

How does Sadie flip this around?

By emphasizing that the orchestrators are the ones most willing to ask a question to find the answer.

Because you don't have to white knuckle your way through it alone.

Asking for help from a peer, mentor or AI is the skill.
