🚀 I’m hiring an Optimization and Energy Modeling Engineer to work at @ScaleMicrogrids ⚡️
This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is interested in this work. They can build models that are used to rapidly design and deploy real steel in the ground.
We already have a great project development platform, and with you we can take it to the next level.
And because we have a standardized microgrid development system, you’ll be able to build a power system optimizer that has access to:
- A DER library (solar, batteries, generators, switchboards, etc.) with real commercial costs, specs, warranties, timelines, and more that are continuously validated by our product and procurement teams.
- A bottoms up installation cost model that is specific to markets, DERs, various dynamic inputs, labor, and more that is continuously updated by our applications engineering and project management teams.
- A real project finance model that is specific to our comprehensive capital stack. Project equity, tax equity, debt, and advanced financial analysis. No goofy academic metrics like LCOE here.
This is one of the few opportunities in this type of work to build something that actually reflects the full surface area of reality and produces the actual best answer.
You’ll work closely with an incredible and collaborative team:
- awesome project analysts that are the best in the game
- software engineers with experience ranging from VC backed startups to NREL
- power engineers that have done everything from rehabbing oil refinery power systems to designing Apple products
I am confident that together we can make the best microgrid development software that’s ever existed.
@pushtheneedle@drvolts You can't prove atheism only in the sense that you can't really prove anything. There could be some illogical, magical explanation for gravity. I understand being agnostic, but are you agnostic to Zeus?
@drvolts What happens when megacorps, fossil fuel states and merchants of delay use SRM as an excuse to continue to profit off the demise of the planet?
English has many pairs of words where '-th' was once added to make a noun out of the other, like 'width' and 'wide'.
My favourites are the ones for which the link may not be obvious now, like:
- 'mirth' and 'merry'
- 'drought' and 'dry'
- 'filth' and 'foul'
- 'sloth' and 'slow'
I met Takako at a Cornelius show in Nov 98 in San Francisco -- we talked for 15 minutes before I realized who she was as she was in the audience and not well known. She was kind to me. Her new albums with Dustin Wong have been great.
Posting some of the albums from my days living in Japan that have had the most impact on me. I don't expect anyone to know these but they have been in my rotation for decades and mean a lot to me.
#4 Takako Minekawa - Roomic Cube
This was the first Japanese artist I got into. This album had a US release, I loved the whimsical electronic, sampled, garage rock vibes. https://t.co/779ypGTmQ5
