Just for the record, if you “abstain” from taking a position about incivility or corruption, you are not magically absolved of responsibility, you are complicit.
Culture is defined by the worst behaviour you tolerate.
Man City fans and ex-players keep saying, “They appealed, so they haven’t been found guilty.” Others ask, “If they’re guilty, why haven’t they been sanctioned?”
Let’s educate them slowly, slowly.
An appeal is NOT a declaration of innocence. It is a legal right to CHALLENGE a decision, its findings or the punishment imposed.
Man City has been found guilty of 114/115, and the appeal case must be understood according to the actual findings and applicable procedures. An appeal does not automatically erase an adverse decision.
Why does the right to appeal exist? To review whether the evidence was properly assessed, the rules correctly applied and the procedures fairly followed. An appeal is a SAFEGUARD against errors, not proof that an error occurred.
An appeal can uphold, overturn or modify a decision. It is NOT an automatic acquittal! 99.9% of appeals are ceremonial. The initial decision is never overturned. Like for city, they are likely to get more issues that might modify the first guilty verdict to 115/115 and possibility of expanding the timing to 2026 for more investigations.
So, why haven’t they been sanctioned? The timing depends on the applicable rules and the stage of the proceedings. In Man City’s case, the sanction is between Nov and Dec 2026.
Unbelievable achievement.
And massive props to the Man City commercial department for generating the funds to buy, build and pay a squad of such talents over more than a decade.
In case you forgot what a U.S. president beloved by the world looks like.

⚠️This is a VERY important distinction to be made:
🔺1. City is arguing that the sponsorship deals weren’t sham contracts. If they are successful — the Disciplinary Committee has made it very clear that they still will be found guilty of 114 breaches, see below.
The Disciplinary Commission found that if it was wrong about the sham contracts, they were still related party transactions. As such they should have been recorded at Fair Market Value (FMV) — which according to the commission placed them “very substantially below” what was reported and led to breaching PSR and UEFA’s in all of the relevant seasons.
🔺2. Could City be successful? I predicted the outcome of this case very well several years ago. I can safely say that from the perspective of the independent Disciplinary Committee — it is an irrelevant technicality.
The rule is that only real revenue can be treated as revenue. In this case it’s fake revenue regardless if it’s given directly by the owner or by someone under the control of the owner.
The grounds City are arguing would perhaps reduce the ~£900m figure to ~£600m — but it’s of course indisputable that the £900m figure comes with an asterisk to start with. These AD sponsors de facto sponsored City, it’s not like City’s sponsors would have paid them zero pounds. What is relevant is the benefit gained by cheating — and it’s the same in both cases. The difference between FMV and what City received.
🔺3. What is City playing at? What has not been emphasized enough is how City’s absurd and blatant stalling tactics de facto have delayed the decision we received a few weeks ago with three years — three years!
It should not have come in September 2026, it should have come in September 2023 (if City didn’t tie up the PL for 3 years in public courts claiming that the appointed arbitrators were not impartial, on absurd grounds). The tactic to drown the PL and the Committee with nonsense documents in a form that couldn’t be downloaded or copied provably delayed the case an additional year. So we should have had the decision in September 2022.
This is down to three persons, Kahldon, Pearce and Soriano. They make the decisions, they are responsible for the cheating — and they will surely be banned from ever coming close to a football club again.
🔺4. So what will happen now? Look — legal proceedings have a weakness. They are not safe since they can be delayed.
This is why any solicitor that purposefully delay a proceeding more or less would be guaranteed to be struck off the roll.
But it doesn’t matter much — because it’s more or less impossible to prove bad faith.
City can still find ways to delay this process every step of the way. For example — the Judicial Panel appoints the Appeal Board. City can object that each of the members on it are impartial on whatever far fetched grounds. The Chair of the Judicial Panel then decides if they have a valid claim. BUT — if City does not agree with the Chair’s decision, they can take it to the public courts. And you get another 1 year delay.
We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families.
Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating.
We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink.
Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes.

Anyone see a bit of a pattern here?
"This isn’t to blindly defend him, but getting the best out of Wirtz is a group endeavour. It will mean seeing the best of the likes of Barcola, Cody Gakpo, Alexander Isak and, in time, Hugo Ekitike."
"The Reds still have an incredibly young team packed with potential. They’ve got a coach who is doing the right things with so much more to come."
"Florian Wirtz won’t come good on his own, but will improve the more his team does."

If Trump and Republicans had worked to lower cost of living, lowered costs of gas and diesel, stayed out of wars, and released the Epstein files without a fight, Republicans would have won for the next 4-6 years.
Instead Republicans may not win for the next 10 years because they all cheerleaded Trump as Trump bullied everyone internationally using tariffs as a bludgeon which in turn really hurt Americans and drove inflation, started an unprovoked war with Iran skyrocketing gas and diesel prices, and refused to release the Epstein files so voraciously that he posted that anyone who wanted the files are now his “past supporters.”
And Republicans are still silent cowards totally oblivious to how bad they have burned their credibility with Americans, especially with the younger generations.
Currently there is not a single Republican Presidential hopeful that could win in 2028.
🚨 Goldman Sachs has put numbers on Brexit choices.
Current Brexit deal: +0.3% GDP
Customs union: +1%
Single Market: up to +5%
Full EU membership: up to +6%
And Goldman estimates the UK economy is already around 6% smaller than its counterfactual path since the 2016 referendum.
Non wonder the debate is changing. The further Britain moves back towards Europe, the larger the potential economic dividend.
Brexit was sold as a growth strategy, but now 10 years later, the growth strategy is undoing Brexit asap.

Tell me what you see?
This is why representation in the Royal Family mattered!
Britain is a multicultural country, and the world is multicultural. Who represents us on the global stage matters. It sends a message about who belongs & who is valued.
Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, yet here they are, connecting with communities and reflecting the diversity of modern Britain.
Now imagine what that representation could have meant from within the institution itself
Trump is lying again. Putin started the war and has repeatedly refused to negotiate to end it. The US spent nothing like $350 billion. Half the money is not missing. Washington and Moscow are both significantly more corrupt than Kyiv. Putin, not Zelensky, is a dictator who openly steals elections.
The crowds have turned up for the world's favourite Royals - "we love you Harry and Meghan" they scream.
How wonderful is this to see?
God we needed them in the Royal Family as working royals - they're popularity is clear to see..
What a huge mistake we let them go.
