๐ Who I am/why I'm here/how I can help you โฌ๏ธ Allow me to introduce myself! I first started playing with @airtable in early 2017, and I distinctly remember that a-ha moment where I realized the incredible power hidden below its colorful, friendly UI. ๐งต
H/T to the great @EvanHahn who helped me understand this when he saw me debugging a complex formula in Airtable and said - โYou are programming. Nobody can say this isnโt programming.โ
-Doing all of this with an eye towards usability, scalability, and trade offs of the approach chosen.
No code is more approachable than code, of course, and easier to learn incrementally, but building at a high level is not a โclick and dragโ experience (at least not yet).
-Building front-ends and designing a user experience and workflow
-Structuring, manipulating and transforming datasets
-Interfacing with APIโs and other tools
-Doing QA and testing
Letโs clear something up - No code doesnโt mean not technical. Itโs a different toolset, but leverages the same underlying skills any software engineer would.
At Coefficient, we work in no-code tools for a living, and have for years- in every single thing we do we are:
-Digging into our userโs needs to understand their business, team, goals and pain points
-Designing databases correctly and thoughtfully (and occasionally "breaking the rules" in a controlled way)
-Leveraging complex if/then logic
Thanks to @CCafeo@PhilipLakin and @nocodeops for having me on the first episode of Spot an Op! Had a great time chatting and looking forward to our next conversation!
Operators are doing the hard work without the recognition ya'll deserve!
Today, we launch our new series - Spot-an-op - where we reach out to our favorite ops and ask them to share their experiences.
First out: @nickpardo

@PortantApp @MarieMartens@TallyForms Thanks for the recommendations! To be clear - my back end, front end, and everything else are dialed, no need for form collection. I need the ability to create templates with custom fields, then use Zapier to fill those fields & route for signatures.
Working on a @zapier powered e-signature workflow - I tried @DocuSign and it seems limited and janky (having issues with roles, custom fields, multiple signers and other bugs). I've used @HelloSign and loved it but the API plan is $$$. Advice or other tools I should look at?
@gavin_wiener@seanpritzkau@caffeinatedwes@zapier@DocuSign@HelloSign @eSignaturesIO Thanks for the recommendations! To be clear - my back end, front end, and everything else are dialed- so I think @Jotform or similar are overkill. I need is the ability to create templates with custom fields, then use Zapier to fill those fields & route for signatures.
@carolinesyrup@zapier@DocuSign@HelloSign Hah thanks for saving me the time! Iโve used hellosign before so Iโm more or less aware of what I need to do here but just expected better from @DocuSign
